Find My Reigate - One Year On

Find My Reigate - One Year On

It doesn't seem possible that we launched Find My Reigate over a year ago hoping to provide a central resource for Reigate parents that we ourselves were looking for. Over that time we've expanded out group listings to include over 50 groups and classes, run an event with Riverford and most recently expanded our blog series.  A couple of weeks ago whilst working on a blog post in Two Many Cooks and thinking about our anniversary I bumped into Sarah Godsell of Pick Me! Design who was our first ever interview for our Celebrating Reigate series and it seemed like fate, an in-person reminder of exactly where we'd started, how far we'd come and also what we still wanted to do.

Sarah is a local graphic designer and self-confessed Reigate-phile, most notably in her 'I Love Reigate' artwork.  When I returned to Reigate after two years in Cape Town I was immediately taken with the happy prints that I saw in shops and coffee shops around the town. It also reminded me of Cape Town where a local artist had also launched a campaign to 'heart-bomb' the city centre with small heart pictures on the basis that the visual images we see actually affect the way we feel. Coming back to Reigate and seeing Sarah's prints felt like a big hug and a warm welcome home.

We hope that Find My Reigate can continue to share some of our love for the town and the many ways we can all enjoy it and support each other.

If you would like to work with us then please contact us via the website here

Share the love!

You can still pick up one of Sarah's artworks but you have to act quickly as the last of her prints are going fast!

Reigate prints are available at Gerrards and Chalk Hills Bakery.

Redhill prints are at Lemonade Lane Chalk Hills.
